The horror of it all...

I’ve heard stories that tug on the heartstrings before—stories of pain, stories of loss, stories of abandonment—but never in my life have I heard a story as heart-wrenchingly awful as this. Pull out your tissue box. You’re going to need it.

Imagine having to use dial-up because you can’t afford broadband! The horror of it all!

  2. I hate to say it - but it was a real FCC hearing on Internet Access Inequity. Trying to figure out where to spend more tax redistribution funds.

I can't believe how somber that poor woman was. How does she cope with a real crisis? Poster child candidate, right there :)

OMGoodness! I was prepared to finish my box of tissues. I almost cried from laughing so hard! What in the world? Well said Kathleen. "How does she cope with a real crisis?"

  6. I watched the Rhett and Link movie but they never showed Mrs. Locklear -- boohoo /*insert much crying */ However, that was really hilarious. Thanks for the link.

  7. It was hard to watch this through all the tears. What would this poor woman do if the school bus were late some morning or any other real crisis?

  8. Oh, if you watched the trailer, you don't see her. But the actual movie did include them meeting her. She even came to the event one night in Cary when we went to see Rhett and Link -- I actually got to talk to her!

  9. You know this woman? What does she do when something bad happens? I can't even imagine.
