Man, is this ever scary!! During this election campaign season, I heard so many people say things such as, "This time I'm not going to fall for the fearmongering." Perhaps they should have been afraid. I know I am.
Tax and spend has a whole new meaning under this administration. Apparently their fiscal irresponsibility knows no boundaries.
I don't want to side with Obama, really, I don't, but this package passed by congress and was signed by GW Bush before the inauguration -- and this makes the current bailout plan even more hideous when you realize the pork in it!! My take on the matter? Pretty soon we'll be using eurodollars!!
ReplyDeleteI, too, was appalled by George Bush (and John McCain) for their obvious lack of belief in free market capitalism. But in Glenn's graph, the straight-up spike at the end is not the George Bush bailout - it's the other TARP applications since then. Yes, it was made possible by the Bush bailout, but the decisions being made now were motivated by the president elect and are now being carried foward by the president and his tax-evading administration.
ReplyDeleteI have said many times (and see no reason to stop saying it), I think Barack Obama will be the last president of the United States.
