Growing up in the shadow of Washington, D.C., I learned very early how terrible vehicle congestion can be. I have now spent the last decade (plus) working in downtown Washington and the commute is so terrible it is almost impossible to describe.
Quite a few years ago I ran across a web site that discussed a potential travel system based on magnetic levitation technology. SkyTran: Personal mobility for the 21st Century caught my attention and interest and I have been checking their web site every now and then ever since.
I recently looked at their web site and found that ABC News has covered the SkyTran concept in a news report. Very interesting, indeed.
