UPDATE: Meet this precious little girl in the video below. She is now in the loving arms of Jesus.
2 Cor 1:3 - 7 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation.

Meet Maria:
Please pray for the Chapman family.
Thanks for posting this, Richard. This family certainly could use our prayers!
ReplyDeleteYes, Sandy. It is time for the Christian community to give back. Steven Curtis Chapman's songs have been a tremendous help to me when I have traveled through valleys in my life. It's time for the rest of us to minister to him and his family now.
ReplyDeleteSteven has always thrown himself into his Christian life and sometimes that requires us to prove ourselves with the steady patience of Job. As he said in one of his songs: "The River's deep, the River's wide, the River's water is alive - so sink or swim, I'm diving in."
My heart breaks for the Chapman family. I've always loved his music.
ReplyDelete11 years ago on Monday, May 26 -- Memorial Day, our little 2 1/2-year-old daughter, Jennifer, passed away. The grief is unbearable alone. Thank God for the prayers of brethren and of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is acquainted with grief, Who always makes intercession for us and is our Peace. May the Spirit of God lift up the Chapman family.
The video with little Maria is so very precious. Thanks for posting it.
Kathleen - I'm so sorry for your loss. I don't know how people can make it through such times if they don't have the Lord to comfort them - to be their Peace. May God continue to heal your heart.
