As far as the Democrats not noticing it, in order to be able to vote Democrat you have to ignore so much that you probably get used to ignoring things. So I'm not real surprised that they didn't notice it. It's easier to ignore that than to ignore the Philanderer in Chief diddling young interns in the Oval Office and lying to grand juries about it.
