My wife is Sarah Palin!

For twenty-two years I have had the most delightful form of entertainment available to me. I recognized early on that my wife was not what she appeared to be. Let me explain.

My wife is petite. She is just 4 feet 11 inches tall. She's very feminine. She is quiet, gentle, softspoken. She defers to me. She is not brassy or flashy. She is demure and attractive.

My wife and our son

So — when folks try to read the book of my wife by its cover they miss the mark ... by a huge amount. The saying goes, good things come in small packages. In my wife's case, the saying could be changed to dynamite comes in small packages. That would be good dynamite—at least from my perspective, not necessarily from the perspective of the many folks who have underestimated her over the years.

At least once every few months some unsuspecting male who has underestimated my wife tries to bully her or tries to attack me. Usually, by the time I see them, they are curled up in the fetal position, quivering and slobbering on themselves. It's tremendously entertaining.

For years my wife has fought the education system to get our son the education that our nation guarantees to its children. Because of our son's special needs, it has not been easy. We have found a few teachers dotting the landscape who have the children's best interests at heart. Those teachers have said that they really enjoy working with my wife because she is such a good reinforcer and such a good team player. The remaining teachers—close to 90% of all the teachers and administrators that have worked with our son—seem to be more interested in having children who have already been educated in their classes so they can babysit them. When my wife demands that they teach our son, they get very uncomfortable. When she leverages the authorities and the law, they panic.

Typically, by the time I see these less-than-stellar teachers they are curled up in the fetal position, quivering and slobbering on themselves.

From time to time some people have decided to corner my wife when I'm not around to get her to pressure me into doing something they want me to do. Apparently they have mistakenly thought that I would be harder to convince.

Typically, by the time I see them they are curled up in the fetal position, quivering and slobbering on themselves.

In addition to the entertainment value, this allows me to concentrate on the things that I must do. I am able to concentrate on my work without having to worry about how things are going at home. I am able to concentrate on my volunteer efforts without having to continually step in to help her with her volunteer activities.

At the same time that my wife poses a grave threat to our family's enemies, she is the greatest advocate and defender we could ever have. It is the foundation of the security of our home and family.

GOP Nominee for Vice President, Sarah Palin

This is exactly what I see in Sarah Palin and it is the biggest reason that I am thoroughly excited about voting for McCain/Palin this November. It looks to me like Sarah Palin will be a strong and staunch defender of America. It looks like she will promote what is best in all of us. And it looks like she will target and attack every enemy who is looking to hurt America—enemies from both within and without America's borders.

I suspect that there are many women in America just like this. I believe that this is one of the reasons for the historic strength of our nation. And I think God has placed Sarah Palin in her current position for such a time as this.
