Today’s header is a photo I took from the steps in front of our house. The moon was almost full and the sky was quite clear, so I grabbed my tripod and grabbed this shot.
“The Heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork” Psalm 19:1
“The heavens declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge!” Psalm 50:6
Isn't that pretty? I love the moon photos. Thanks for posting it.
ReplyDeleteIf my memory serves me right, I was looking at the same moon from my porch in Fredericksburg! It was beautiful, indeed. Peggy
ReplyDeleteDecadent - I've been enjoying your very snowy photos on your blog as well. I love the beauty of fresh snow, but am not very fond of the temperatures required to produce it. I especially loved your discussion of the tones of gray in your typical scenery and the photos you included that showed that an appreciation of detail cuts through the grayness. Wonderful stuff!
ReplyDeletePeggy - Isn't our God wonderful? The beauty of the heavens continually amazes me. Have you heard of the DVD "The Created Cosmos"? It is an amazing computer simulation of a trip through our universe with a documentary focus on the vast distances and God's hand in creation. It left me literally shaking. It is simply phenomenal.
Thanks for the recommendation, Richard. I haven't seen that but will check it out. I love to look at the night sky because it impresses me all over again, each time, what a might God we serve and refreshes my awe of Him.
ReplyDeleteOn a secular note, the more light pollution that intrudes in our country sky, the unhappier I am.
Have a great day! Peggy
